Bayside City Council

Dear Bayside Resident

Council election 15 March 1997

We act for the Bayside City Council ("the Council").

The Council has been advised by the Victorian Electoral Commission that you did not cast a vote at the Council election held on 15 March 1997.

You may have had a very good reason for not voting at the election. If so, you should indicate the reason on the attached Courtesy Letter, and return it to the Victorian Electoral Commission in the return envelope supplied.

If you did not have a valid reason for not voting, and wish to avoid further costs, you should return the Courtesy Letter together with your payment of the infringement penalty of $50.00 and prescribed costs of $14.60 by the due date indicated on the Courtesy Letter.

Alternatively, if you wish to have this matter dealt with by a Court, you should complete and return the application at the bottom of the Courtesy Letter.

Please telephone the Victorian Electoral Commission on 131 832 should you require additional assistance or information.

Yours faithfully
MADDOCK LONIE & CHISHOLM
